Napier, the leading B2B tech marketing and PR agency, has announced the hire of Maddie Legg through Baltic Apprenticeships. Maddie, a first-class honours graduate, brings creative skills and a passion for tech to the company, which she called ‘a perfect fit’.
Napier, which uses deep market insight to design and run creative campaigns for its clients, has a long track record of employing talented apprentices, preferring to nurture the next generation of marketing talent from within the company.
The hire of Maddie sees the firm committing itself to finding the best people regardless of background. To secure her apprenticeship Maddie had to demonstrate intellectual and commercial application of her abilities. At Napier, she will be fully exposed to all aspects of the digital and communications marketing mix working alongside teams that are providing specialist tech services to the likes of ABB and Microchip.
Baltic Apprenticeships, the first tech-focused, tech-driven training provider, was well-placed to connect Napier with young talent who can flourish at the company and support its aims.
Maddie, who graduated from Northbrook MET with a first-class degree in Theatre Arts, will bring her creative skills to content creation and digital marketing at Napier. She said it was an easy decision to take the role.
“I’m really pleased to have joined Napier,” she said.
“My exposure during my degree to filming and editing, as well as learning how to market using different strategies, made me realise I was well suited to content creation and digital marketing.
“I also love tech. That made Napier a perfect fit for what I want for my career.”
Mike Maynard, Napier’s Managing Director, said he was confident Maddie would learn a lot at Napier and that the company would learn a lot from her in return.
“We’re delighted to welcome Maddie to the company,” he said.
“She brings a set of great skills and a genuine enthusiasm for the industry and what we do.
“We have every confidence that she’ll thrive in this environment and learn a lot. We expect to learn a lot from her, too.
“We’re pleased that Baltic are connecting us with talent who can help us stay at the cutting edge of our industry while providing our clients with a great service.”
Napier, which has offices in the US and UK, has extensive expertise and experience supporting clients in electronics, IT and industrial technology, among other key technology industries.
In July last year, the company became employee-owned, giving the whole team a financial stake in the company. The move ensures that employees’ interests are aligned with the success of the agency’s clients and guarantees its independence and the integrity of its culture.
Maynard called employee ownership “the best way to secure the future of independent companies” such as Napier.
